Froogle uploads are now done in Google Base.
How to register a bulk upload for Google Base:
1. Register with Google Base: http://base.google.com/
2. On the right hand side is a place to register for ftp uploads. This is the user name and password you will need to add to your admin in the Froogle File area.

3. Click on Data Feed, and register a filename: yourfilename.txt (you decide what to call it), select your file type, either product or custom. You will only have to create a file name once. You can use the same file name over and over for each upload.
Back in your store Admin area:
4. Go to Froogle file in your admin (right hand side)
Where it says Froogle server, if it's not already there type:
uploads.google.com
Next to File Name, type in the filename you created in step 3 including the .txt,
In the status box select: upload/delete.
Next to User Name, add the ftp username you created in step 2.
Next to password: add the ftp account password you created in step 2.
Select your products condition.
If you have new and used product, select whichever you have the most of because you can
edit your items in Google Base after they have been published.
Select your expiration date.
Select your currency.
Select whether or not you want to use Split Options
Select your payments types.
Then click on CREATE
5. Go back to Google to see if your file uploaded correctly. If you don’t see a file there
upload it from Admin again. This happens from time to time.
6. If you have no description in your products that product won't be included in the feed.
7. If you have drop down pricing, the product price field will show 0.00. You will have to manually modify the file to include pricing in the view only mode.
When you are finished and your products are published and searchable in Google Base, they are also searchable in Froogle. You can view, edit or delete product from within Google. You will have to upload your file again upon expiration.
Failed Data Feeds
A few reasons why a data feed will fail:
- no product description
- no product price in the first product page (it will fail if the price is only in the options area)
- if you don't have your file name, username and password correct
