Set up the basics

To work properly with your Merchantmoms system you need to get a few things set up in Mal's. So, click on Cart Set-up.

HTTP Remote Call

The first is the Remote call. This must be set up in Mals for the inventory control and order tracking to work.

Your finish page

1 ) Enter the URL to your finish page, which is yourdomain.com/go/finish.php. ( note: do not use the http:// part ) Replace yourdomain.com with your own domain name.

2 ) Method: Choose POST as the method if you have large orders that come through regularly, otherwise use GET.

3 ) Debug: In the HTTP call area of Mals, check the 'debug' box only if you have problems with the inventory control and want to track whether Mals is processing the call.

Remember to click Update Record for your changes to take effect.

Append cart variables

Next you need to append cart variables. Click BUTTON STYLES AND BEHAVIOUR

Check it

The only thing you need to change here is to put a check in the box by "Append cart content cars"

Scroll down and click SUBMIT to record the change you just made.

There are other things you'll need to set up so your store runs smoothly - like payment methods, taxes, shipping, email notifications to you and your customers, but these are the basics needed so Mal's and your Merchantmoms system work properly together. The others will be covered in another tutorial.
