Considerations --
- PayPal's discount rate is higher at 2.9%. If merchant plans on transacting then they should not go with PayPal.
- First American will fight for you regarding Chargebacks. With PayPal disputes can run on for months.
- Pay Pal is a Third Party Processor. They are NOT a bank.
- PayPal does not provide you with a real merchant account.
- First American/1stPay will work with the customer after the sale to help them succeed online.
- Takes longer to receive your money with Pay Pal. Merchants may not receive money for weeks. First American/1stPay is only 24-48 hours.
- PayPal can freeze/hold merchant's money antyime without any warning.
- PayPal IS NOT A BANK and is NOT protected by Federal Banking Regulations.
- PayPal can take money out of a person's account without their knowledge.
- First American/1stPay provides Customer Service.
- 86% of online credit card processing is done through a merchant account.
